Farhana, Princess of Hollywood

Posted by admin in Uncategorized

Princess Farhana is a captivating performer with a hefty bag of tricks (her abdominal work is extraoardinary).  Over three decades of performing has created a great stage presence with many costumes and personas to offer.  But more than this, she is one of the most interesting people you’ll ever meet (or read about).  In addition to bellydancing, she’s been a singer in rock bands, writes poetry, paints, performed as a magician assistant, performs and teaches Burlesque and has recently collaborated with DeVilla in producing a makeup instructional DVD (Bombshell: Dramatic Make Up For The Stage, Photos , And Glamourous Occasions).
She is a great storyteller, from writing articles in rock and bellydance magazines to acting in moview to her recent hosting the Ghost Tour on the Queen Mary for Cairo Caravan, to the spontaneous myriad of tales you’ll hear if you’re amongst her company.
Although The Princess has a full schedule teaching and dancing Internationally and at Dance Garden in Glendale, she kindly agreed to share with us her personal story and her knowledge of Burlesque history in America.  Please enjoy these two videos from our afternoon and check out her blog:http://princessraqs.blogspot.com/ and website http://www.princessfarhana.com/
